What changed in 2026#
Bloxburg spent a lot of this year on roleplay, and several updates change what a family house can have:
- April 23, update 1.16.0: new baby items, baby animations, and a kids store in town to shop for them.
- April 29, update 1.17.0: the Magnolia Mansion prebuilt, made specifically with family roleplay in mind.
- June 4, update 1.21.0: the elder morph, mobility aids and the Granny's Garden prebuilt, so grandparents can be part of it too.
- June 17, update 1.23.0: Town Hall rebuilt with a courtroom, tax office and jail cell.
- July 23, update 1.27.0: backyard hangout furniture, including a kids' playhouse.
- August 20, update 1.32.0: back to school items and new class activities.
If your house was built before April, the nursery is the room most worth redoing.
What makes a house good for roleplay#
A house for roleplay is used differently from a house built to look at. Several people are moving around it at once, so the things that matter are practical.
- A room for every member of the family. Count your usual group and build that many bedrooms, plus one spare for guests.
- A dining table everyone fits around. Family dinner scenes happen in almost every roleplay.
- Wide hallways and doorways. Tight corridors get crowded fast with four or five players.
- The nursery next to the parents' room. It is how a real house is laid out and it keeps the story in one place.
- A garden kids can use. A swing, a sandbox and a playhouse give younger characters something to do between scenes.
- Somewhere to park. Since update 1.34.0 you can spawn vehicles anywhere, but a driveway is still where the school run starts.
Family houses at every budget#
Under 50k, no gamepasses
aurviia's 40k family roleplay house shows how much fits on one floor if you plan the rooms first.
60k to 110k
Cee_berry has two good ones here: a spring family house at 75k with no gamepasses, and a 104k family home built without Advanced Placing. Txics and BridgeyBloxburg both land in this range as well.
Simple and quick
If you just need a house to start roleplaying tonight, iKotori's simple roleplay house is a fast one to follow.
Nursery ideas#
The nursery is where the 2026 baby items get used, and it is the room that sells a family roleplay. Keep it soft and calm: a crib against the wall, a comfy chair beside it for feeding scenes, a rug, and storage for toys.
Notice the nursery above uses the same dark wood and cream as the parents' room. Matching the nursery to the house, rather than making it bright pink or blue, is what makes it look like part of a real home.
The garden#
A back garden gives the kids somewhere to go and gives the parents a reason to call them in for dinner. The kids' playhouse from the July backyard update is the easy centrepiece.
- Put a fence around it so it reads as a safe place to play.
- Keep it visible from the kitchen or living room windows.
- Leave open lawn. Kids roleplay involves a lot of running around.
Take it beyond the house#
A house is only part of a roleplay. The kids store for shopping trips, the school with its new class activities, and the rebuilt Town Hall all give a family somewhere to go. If you roleplay with the same group often, a private Neighborhood keeps everyone on one server, for up to 75 players.
