For most of its life Welcome to Bloxburg cost 25 Robux to play. On May 31, 2024 the official Bloxburg account announced it was going free, and on June 15, 2024 the entry fee was removed. The game's name on Roblox even picked up a [FREE] tag.

It was a one-time fee, not a subscription. When it went, KreekCraft posted that Bloxburg was officially free and jokingly asked for his 25 Robux back.

What you can do for free#

Play the whole game: every job, the town, school, events and seasonal updates.
Build a house on a free empty plot, or buy one of the prebuilt houses with in-game money.
Level every skill and earn every skill trophy.
Earn in-game money from jobs, daily rewards and skill levels.

A free account builds on a 30x30 plot with one floor. That is enough for a complete home, and plenty of creators publish full houses built for around $20,000 with no gamepasses. There are real examples in our house ideas by budget guide.

What still costs Robux#

These are permanent upgrades. Prices below are read live from Roblox, so they are the current prices in the US.

All of them together come to 2,340 Robux. None are needed to play.

Other things you can spend Robux on

Blockbux. Bloxburg's premium currency, used for some items, extra house slots and speeding up plants. You also earn small amounts of it free from skills and events.
A new house slot costs 300 Blockbux.
Extra plot data. Once a plot reaches 100% plot data you can buy another 20% for 59 Robux. The Large Plot gamepass doubles the data limit instead.
Neighborhoods, your own private server for up to 75 players: 149 Robux for a month, 399 for three months, 699 for six, or 1,099 for a year.

Be careful with anything promising free Robux or free Bloxburg money. No website or video can give you either. They are after your account.
