Where the style names come from#
Bloxburg puts style tags on its own prebuilt houses, which is the closest thing the game has to an official list: Modern, Craftsman, Cottage, Scandinavian, Midcentury, Prairie, Ranch, Traditional, Southwestern, Beach, Cabin and Tuscan. Players add a few more that the prebuilts do not cover yet, mainly Farmhouse, Victorian and Tudor. This guide uses those names.
Modern#
Flat or single slope roofs, big glass walls, and a mix of dark wood, white render and stone. Modern houses look best with a lot of light inside and a clean, simple garden. They are the style where Advanced Placing makes the biggest difference, because glass panels and overhangs rarely line up without it.

Craftsman#
A low, wide house with a deep front porch held up by thick square columns, a gently pitched roof with wide eaves, and warm wood or muted colours. Craftsman is one of the friendliest styles for a first build, and it works at any size.
Bloxburg's own: Modest Meadows ($30,000), Cedar Crest ($47,500), Granny's Garden ($142,000) and Hawksridge Hall ($1,050,000).
Cottage#
Small, soft and a little bit storybook: steep roofs, a picket fence, flowers everywhere and warm light in the windows. Cottages suit a 30x30 plot and a small budget better than anything else.
Bloxburg's own: Cozy Cottage ($20,000), Cottage Comforts ($50,000) and Dainty Dwelling ($52,500), all with no gamepasses.
Farmhouse#
White board and batten siding, a black or dark metal roof, black window frames and a wraparound porch. It is a favourite for family houses, and it holds up well both small and very large.
Victorian#
Tall and busy in the best way: steep gables, a round or octagonal turret, decorative trim, a wraparound porch and often two or three colours on the outside. It is a tall style, so Multiple Floors is close to essential.
Tudor#
Dark timber beams over white or cream walls, very steep roofs, tall chimneys and small grouped windows. Tudor houses look especially good at night and in autumn.
Mediterranean and Tuscan#
Warm plaster walls, terracotta roof tiles, arches, shutters and a courtyard or pool. Bloxburg added its own Tuscan prebuilt, Tuscan Tradition, a seven bedroom house by the content creator Capdo, in update 1.31.0 in August 2026.
The rest of Bloxburg's tags#
- Scandinavian: pale wood, white walls, very little clutter. Simple Scandi ($35,000), and a whole Scandi furniture set expanded in August 2026.
- Midcentury: low roofs, big windows, retro colours. Retro Revival ($70,000).
- Prairie and Ranch: long single storey houses that hug the ground. Tranquil Timber ($90,000) and Rancher's Retreat ($105,000).
- Southwestern: flat roofs, adobe colours and desert planting. Cactus Canyon ($260,000).
- Beach: raised decks, light colours and palms. Beachside Bliss ($180,000) and Sandy Sanctuary.
- Cabin: logs, stone chimneys and pines. Nature's Nook ($82,500). Our Christmas house ideas have several cabins.
Picking a style for your plot#
- Small plot, small budget: cottage or craftsman.
- Family roleplay: farmhouse or craftsman, which have room for bedrooms without looking like mansions. See our family roleplay house ideas.
- Showing off: modern, Victorian or Tudor, all of which reward height and detail.
